Job Overview

To optimize the sales/brands and thus increasing the turnover in an efficient and cost-effective manner keeping mind with reputation of the brands.

1. Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and review the existing brands with an aim to improve specific sales and profitability.
• Research market to understand key trends and customer preferences in order to determine local market needs and buying habits in order to drive overall product assortment.
• Partner closely with store operations to evaluate both existing and new brands and by developing and executing surveys to determine customer brand acceptance levels.
• Partner closely with marketing in providing or developing marketing material to support brand launches.
• Initiate the development of healthy relationships with suppliers of various brands to ensure the right selection, availability and acquisition of products in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Lead negotiation of delivery and payment terms with the customers.
• Represent the company on buying trips to various fairs and exhibitions.
• Ensure that suppliers provide all necessary support material and training in order to ensure the image of the organization is maintained.
• Have up-to-date knowledge of the inventory and performance of the inventory.
• Responsible for overall sales targets against achievement. Reallocation of the targets to various sales outlets, following up and monitoring progress.
• Identify consumer buying patterns and key seasonal trends relevant to the market to forecast demand for the next period.
• Source, select and purchase appropriate branded merchandise, in a required time frame and in line with the company’s retail commercial strategy.
• Develop and update the buying calendar on a regular basis in line with the overall requirements of the Retail Division.
• Attend various trade fairs and events as per the defined schedule to select and assemble new collection of products.
• Meet with suppliers and negotiate the terms of contract with the co-operation of the concerned Manager.
• Proactively recommend initiatives to continuously improve product ranging.
• Ensure with the concerned manager the merchandise direction, quantification and forecasting is in line with company financial objectives and budgets (including devising and adhering to range and option plans).
• Proactively conduct competitor analysis to ensure a competitive advantage.
• Perform any other duty, within a reasonable professional boundary, as assigned by the line manager from time to time.
• Assist the manager to Identify new potential areas in order to expand the market share and increase profit.
• Take part in pricing of products and potential profitability
• Keep track of what competitors are doing.
• Keep an eye on the inventory level.
• Identify Old Stock and find the suitable solutions with the manager to get rid of them (exchange them with new items, liquidation, promotion)
• Perform any other duty, within a reasonable professional boundary, as assigned by the concerned manager from time to time.
2. Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
Academic Qualifications and Certification
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, inventory management or equivalent Experience:
• 7 -9 years of experience as a brand Manager with a retail commercial Background within a portfolio of luxury WAJ Brands.
