The Editor/Animator is responsible, creative, and truly enjoys film, motion graphics, and advertising.
Solution-oriented and willing to explore what’s possible in the edit. Possesses thorough knowledge of video editing and is a champion of pacing, fluidity, and continuity. Enjoys creating video campaigns to deliver the targeted marketing message. As an editor, you come to the table with a positive and enthusiastic disposition. The environment is fast-paced and you are energized by the challenge.
•Edit video and audio projects at runtimes under 5:00. Project types range from original capture to editorial only (client-provided assets).
•Project/file/asset organization from ingestion to output. Knows enough After Effects to be dangerous in creating and inserting static and motion graphics, transitions, and lower thirds
•Basic sound mixing (music, voiceover, light SFX) Continuously discover and implement new editing techniques, workflows, and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency
•Cut finished projects to align with the manager’s vision and approved storyboards (but also comes to the tables with ideas on how to up-level)
•Ability to work in a shifting and collaborative environment and able to gracefully manage both internal and client feedback with guidance from the manager.
•Bachelor’s degree in television production, graphic design/animation, communications, or any related field.
•Proficiency with Adobe Creative SuiteStrong knowledge of procedures and workflow from production to post-production work
•Experience with Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
•Familiarity with stop motion, special effects, 2D computer animation, 2D drawn animation, 3D and compositing
•Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment
•Pay close attention to detail and be thorough and meticulous
•Thrives on team collaboration, but works well individually
•Appreciates the importance of a deadline
•Minimum of 2 years of experience in video and/or animation. Agency experience is a plus, but not required.
